Mike Seeback, Head Coach
Coach Mike has been involved in competitive swimming since he was 8 years old. He joined his local swim club's swim team and quickly grew to love the sport. He went onto Paramus Catholic Regional High School in Paramus, NJ and joined the Paladins Swim Team as a 3 year varsity letter winner and team captain his senior year, competiting primarily as in the 200 IM, 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. During his senior year of High School, Mike was offered an opportunity to become an assistant coach with the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades Waverunners, where he quickly discovered that while he enjoyed competiting, he could give so much more to the sport as a coach. Mike went onto to Seton Hall University and was eventually offered an assistant coaching position within the Sharks Coaching Staff in December 2008, where he remained until August 2011, following the sudden passing of Head Coach RJ Anderson, when he was promoted to Head Coach. Mike has a B.S. in Biology and often applies the lessons he learned from his science course work, specifically integrating his Anatomy and Physiology course work into his training method. To date the Sharks have been quite successful under Mike's guidance, breaking 28 Team Records, Defeating the defending State Champions, Obtaining several NJ Swimming Gold and Silver cut times and with more to come!
